Activities
Activity 1
These are the first lines of the song ‘Enchanted’, the song co-written by Taylor Swift
(copyright 2010 Big Machine Records, LLC). The teacher is to sing the first part of the song,
as below, while the class works individually completing the lines (answers in bold):

There I was again [tonight]
Forcing [laughing], faking smiles
Same old tired, [lonely] place
Walls of insincerity
Shifting eyes and [vacancy]
Vanished when I saw you're [face]
All I can say is it was [enchanting] to meet you

Activity 2
The lines of the song given below are jumbled up. As you listen, put them in the right order by numbering
them 1–6 (answers in bold).
[6] Like passing notes in secrecy
[2] Across the room your silhouette
[4] The playful conversation starts
[1] Your eyes whispered, “Have we met?”
[5] Counter all your quick remarks
[3] Started to make its way to me
